Loretta’s new video is the first from her eagerly-awaited new album, Wouldn’t It Be Great, arriving Friday, September 28.

One of the most deeply personal albums of Loretta Lynn’s career, Wouldn’t It Be Great communicates in song the hard truths and spiritual insights Loretta has gathered throughout her life and reflects the resilience that sustains her still. Comprised entirely of songs written (or co-written) by Loretta, the album premieres new compositions alongside soulful reinterpretations of enduring classics from her catalog. Like its predecessor, the critically-acclaimed, Grammy-nominated Full Circle (released March 2016), Wouldn’t It Be Great was mainly recorded at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee, with producers Patsy Lynn Russell and John Carter Cash.

An expression of the special bond between Loretta and her daughter, Patsy Lynn Russell, “Ain’t No Time To Go” was cowritten by the mother-daughter pair and is one of the standout new songs Loretta penned for Wouldn’t It Be Great, an album focusing on the depth and range of Loretta’s songwriting career.

An upbeat celebration of life and love coupled with a bittersweet acceptance of mortality, “Ain’t No Time To Go” was lensed this summer at Loretta’s ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee by Nashville-based filmmaker/photographer David McClister (who also directed the acclaimed Willie Nelson/Loretta Lynn clip for “Lay Me Down”). Set in a dreamy rollicking square dance environment, “Ain’t No Time To Go” centers on Loretta’s evocative vocals while the band–featuring her son Ernest Lynn on guitar–lays down an unforgettable toe-tapping classic country hook.

Loretta Lynn turned 86 this year and is finding a a new peak in her creative powers, ready to release her new album for her fans. About “Ain’t No Time To Go,” she says, ““I been here all along and I ain’t going nowhere. I ain’t.”
