If the Shel Silverstein book Where the Sidewalk Ends isn't already in every child's hands, it should be; it's as poignant and whimsical as the day it was written. The album version is another matter. Silverstein already had plenty of experience in the recording studio, and his musical delivery of his poems is certainly unique. He sounds a little like Emo Phillips reading verse.
